Beautiful British Columbia
Discover Beautiful BC
You will have great places to explore not only in the Greater Vancouver region, but in the entire province of British Columbia. See what appeals to you for a weekend or week away...

Coast and Fraser Valley
Located in the southwest corner of BC, nature is at your doorstep throughout the Vancouver Coast and Fraser Valley areas. From the picturesque fishing towns and local artist communities of the Sunshine Coast, to the spectacular snow-capped mountains of Whistler and the hot springs of the eastern Fraser Valley, endless leisure activities and wilderness opportunities are within easy reach. The area is blessed with a diverse climate and terrain and is home to lush coastal rainforest, placid mountain lakes, glacial peaks, and roaring river.

Vancouver Island
Located across the Strait of Georgia and running parallel to the mainland coast, Vancouver Island is an ideal region for outdoor recreation. Whether you prefer strolling the beach, cycling along scenic routes, hiking and camping in pristine wilderness, fishing in fresh or saltwater, or discovering old-growth forests, BC's unique island culture attracts many ex-urbanites seeking a quieter way of life.

Northern BC
Comprising more than half the geographical area of the province, Northern BC is home to majestic mountains, forested valleys, pristine lakes, and the world's largest unlogged coastal temperate rainforest. Snowmobiling, backcountry skiing, white-water rafting and freshwater fishing are just a few of the many recreational opportunities in this spectacular outdoor playground.

Cariboo Chilcotin
The breathtaking Caribou Chiloctin region of Central BC is home to fewer than 100,000 people. While the inland areas feature open rangeland and rolling hills, the rugged coastline boasts the world's longest fjords, forming a natural gateway to scenic coves and pristine beaches. Thousands of clean, clear lakes and over 17,000 kilometres of cool rivers and streams make this one of the world's finest regions for sport fishing and canoeing. You can spend summers horseback riding at one of the numerous working ranches or taking interpretive nature walks, and winters backcountry skiing or touring by dog sled.

Kootenay Rockies
Located in the southeastern corner of British Columbia, this region has something for everyone; whether you are an outdoor enthusiast, adventure-seeker, or history buff, you will love living here. In winter, the area attracts skiers and snowboarders, while in the spring and summer the warm days are ideal for golfing, cycling, swimming in Kootenay Lake or riding the rapids of Kicking Horse River.

Thompson Okanagan
British Columbia's Thompson Okanagan region is a world of contrasts, from raging rivers to tranquil lakes, from spectacular sheer-walled canyons to wide open plains, from mountain peaks to rolling grasslands. The Thompson Okanagan area is a haven of spectacular natural beauty.
